I am currently working on my new collection, it will be a more contemporary take on traditional fine jewellery with classic elements with the use of modern technology and fresh design ideas. The pieces are inspired by current fashions, fabrics and intricate eastern pattern and colour. Using are precious metals and stones I will combine fluid lines and curves with layers and repeated ruffles to create three dimensional jewellery pieces. This collection is an infusion of design it will reflect both my Indian and English cultures in one collection, a new perspective on East meets West. Watch this space for more information. |

The Wave Brooch Collection The use of Laser technologies inspired this collection, I explored the capabilities of both laser cutting and laser marking techniques and to see how well they worked with traditional jewellery making techniques. I also was determined to prove that the use of technology does not put restrictions on good design but has the potential to enhance it.I wanted to create a new range of bespoke brooches for a unique set of customers whilst working with themes that reoccur throughout all the pieces, inspiration from rippled fabrics and the fine detail from henna and Eastern pattern. The brooches are currently displayed at Helen Hulston a contemporaryJeweller’s situated in the heart of Birmingham. An article has been featured on The Style Birmingham website. |

Our Secret love I designed the wedding and engagement set for a jewellery competition with the prestigious fine jewellery company Charles Green, who are traditional and well established jewellery suppliers located in the Jewellery Quarter. The inspiration for the rings came from the flowing curved lines of folded fabrics and elements from repetitive henna patterns. The idea that love in marriage is between two people is both a symbol of their love to show the world and intimate further inspired the design of the rings. The wedding rings are bespoke as each ring can be made up of specially selected precious materials by the wearer. Although I didn’t win the competition my design did receive a commendation and is currently available from the Charles Green website. |
