The ability to create beautiful things has always fulfilled me with a sense of satisfaction. That feeling blossomed when I decided to do a Foundation in Art and Design at Craven College in Skipton, there I discovered the joy of metal work and jewellery design. Having gained and strengthened my skills as a jeweller through competing the Higher National Diploma in Jewellery in the world famous jewellery quarter, I am eager and excited to begin my career as a jewellery designer and maker, creating new, exciting and innovative pieces for exhibitions, competitions and of course to sell.

My jewellery designs are greatly influenced by the fact that I am a British Asian, I am inspired by pattern and colour from India and Pakistan and the subtler but striking three dimensional objects and sculptures from the Western world like Dale Chihuly's glass art. I believe that my designs are an infusion of the two cultures, a new perspective on East meets West. I am also inspired by current fashions and fabrics I like to combine fluid lines and curves with layers, repeated ruffles and henna patterns to create three dimensional jewellery pieces.

Currently I am the I'm in the process of developing a brand new collection, which is heavily influenced by traditional henna pattern and symbols, with coiled like forms, organic lines and repetitive shapes. I enjoy the idea of creating timeless and hierloom like pieces so I intend to use precious metals such as 18ct white and yellow gold both together and apart. to add colour and accentuate pieces I use diamonds, sapphires and other precious stones.
